Dog Friendly Glamping in Cornwall
Kernowbears Glamping at Kellogg Farm is located a short distance from the village of Troon and is less than 20 minutes’ drive from some of the best surfing beaches on the North Coast.
There is a pub just a mile and a half down the road with a fab local corner shop. We are close to some amazing walks and the Great Lode and King Edwards Mine.
We have gorgeous views where you can watch the sun set over the sea and all the way from Carbis bay to the Godrevy coast.
Bolenowe Carn Moor
Kernow Bears Glamping is next door to the beautiful Bolenowe Carn Moor which is a natural haven for wildlife and has a public right of way for dogs on leads.
Over the time that the moor has been owned by Trace it has become a haven for wildlife, and a sanctuary for rescued animals of all varieties.
Amongst the many animals that live there, there are two flocks of rescued sheep, a group of ponies and horses, Trace’s rescued dogs, chickens, rabbits, badgers, foxes and a variety of other critters.
Heartbreakingly some of the sheep were attacked and killed by an off leash dog last year, and even if a dog doesn’t actually bite them sheep can die of shock if chased. Please, please if you want to walk on the moor remember that although it has a public right of way through it, it is Trace and her critters back garden and many of them are being rehabilitated or are elderly. We all love our pets and Trace loves her animals very much too, so try to be considerate if you are walking there and keep your dog(s) on the leash and under control. Even the sweetest dog seems to get excited when encountering sheep!
All of Trace’s rescues roam freely on their land and most (if not all) are on special diets from the vets. Please don’t try to feed the animals as you would unwittingly make them very poorly.
The moor is a beautiful sanctuary, and we hope you will enjoy respectfully exploring it during your stay.
